Need some advice.....

Alright everyone!

I'm new here, so be kind! (please?)

Excuse my amateur questions please folks, but this seems a good place to get some advice!

To be honest I'm utterly ignorant to the whole Fixed bike affair, but having ridden a single speed around London for the past 3 years or so, I have got the taste for some Fixed action, having ridden my flatmates set-up for about a month or two!

I'm basically after some advice regarding set-ups, places to buy (I don't have paypal so no Ebay really) and sizes. I'm 6"1 just, so what sort of size frame should I go after? They seem different to my usual frames?

So to sum up, I need baby feeding!

use forum search function; try "Which OTP", "LBS", "Frame Sizing", etc. it's all there.

Still, anyone got any recommendations?

The only place I have looked so far is BBL and it seems to have reasonably bad reviews.

Its not a case of us simply giving you a list of shops or bikes / sizes. Turn up to one of the drinks, have a look at what bikes people ride, then decide what you want. There's a big old 'favourite shops' thread on here somewhere too.

+1 to what Snowy said, go along to one of the Beers...so long as Dale's not being too weird or everyone else too rowdy to approach, that is.

Tips:
