I'm a fanny

Right today i went into town and managed to get a bontrager crowbar for £5 for my lbs which they had sitting in the back, all is good there, however i also bought a diatech dirty harry brake lever automatically assuming it would fit onto the bar which is a 24.5 clamp........it doesn't......what levers are there which i can clamp around a 24.5 so that i can sit it right beside the stem.

yeah, sorry 25.4......ive clearly bought the smaller of the two.
i will go back to the shop tomorrow and try and get the bigger one.

Yes, I agree with Mr Pelago. Similarly try not to say "Hi, I'm Harry, I've got a dirty fanny, wanna swap?" This may also not achieve your desire outcome.

Personally I opted for an original option of Asahi when I got given a free seat post that was a little on the small side. Why not choose a brand whose colours match your ride? Make a feature of it!

believe it of not the word "fanny" carries more weight than "cunt" in Scotland.
Cunt is used at least once in every sentence where as fanny is used when you are referring to someone in a negative manner, lol cuppa you daft cunt see if some one will swap you on the forum :)

i bought the smaller one and need the larger one where as i think you mean, i got the large one but need the small one and should stick some bits of a coke can in to space it out?

The word "cunt" is also regularly used as a term of endearment in Scotland as in "That guys a good cunt"

Are your bars a consistent width or do they get wider where the stem attaches?

its a 25.4 clamp and they gradually get thinner towards the end to be end up like 22.2
ive chopped them now though and i love the width, their perfect, i just need a 25.4 clamp dirty harry and some white grips or white tape and im sorted.

You might want to check that the exposed bit of the broader part of the bar by the side of the stem is long enough to take the whole width of the clamp on your Dirty Harrys. If you try to clamp where the bar turns or starts to taper you may run into trouble (as I did). Then you have a choice of shimming or fitting a 22.2 lever further out.
