Brake with good crown clearance

I had the same problem, but a couple of washers gave me enough clearance for the headset.
No flexy problems as my front brake is crap anyway.

Tried it, can't space it out enough before I run way out of bolt, big old campag crown. Even if I got a longer bolt it would put the caliper in the middle of the wheel to get enough clearence.

if it's just the bolt can you file a flat spot onto it? so it ends up like this...

Might have too, but there is a lot there, would take a very long time to file and probably mess up the rest of the caliper slipping with the file.

I have circled the bit that is causing the problem, not my bike of course, just some random picture
