  • Either the FSA @ £40 or the Condor Sugino @ £50, will it make a huge difference for my first fixed?

  • make a difference ? what u mean by that ?

if you have a converted triple or double, it will just mean you can have a narrower Q factor, and a cleaner look. Each to their own on that one.
Q factor IS important for comfort and delivery of power to the wheels. [lateral distance between your feet]
That is if you can achieve the corresponding chainline.

My q factor is too wide which is annoying for me.

  • Thought you might still be up, sorry I meant quality wise

  • im a nocturnal being :)

    condor all the way.

  • sugino all the way

  • What!, no flaming about the shit frame... thanks for the advice guys

  • that frame is fucking shit.

  • If you're not too attached to it, knock the gear cable stop off the chain stay with a hammer and cut/grind the bosses off the downtube. other than that, I like it.

  • For a frame that shit, the Sugino would be lovely.

  • Alos look at the Andel Track Cranks that you can get from BLB for 55 quid and elswhere on tinternet, imo better than the sugino messangers/ fsa etc for the price:

  • the andel look a lot like the on-one cranks to me:

which makes me think they are OEM.

Nothing wrong with OEM stuff of course, but it should be a lot cheaper than Sugino a Japanese company who have been making BMX & Track cranks for a very long time.

Plus I think they look waaay nicer.

  • I haven't try neither of them, but if you gime to choose one I would go for Sugino. IMHP

  • Nice avatar, rocksteady.

Can I pee on your frame?

Yup i have seen em marketed under various different brands too - i just really like em, nothing quantifiable, just felt nice and strong. Agree the Condor Suginos look alot nicer though.

  • yea ive got unbranded ones, feel strong and different to a dead straight crank arm

  • its not a bad frame ;P

  • All bike parts are made in Taiwan and badged to say whatever the punter wants to hear. The end.

For example, "Colnago" is the name of a small province south-east of Taipei.

im pretty sure Sugino still make there stuff in Japan.

Nothing wrong with Taiwan, they have the greatest cycle manufacturing capability in the world. Its just that most companies/brands that go to them are usually only looking for a big profit margin. Its sad that so many respectable companies are just labelling off the rack stuff, what happened to unique design?

Can I pee on your frame?

Only if you are down with The Mothership

  • its not a bad frame ;P

What do you think of the new colour?

  • who'd have thought someone could own that many bonnie tyler records? ;-P

    like the frame colour....
