Planet X, and to an extent On One, used to do a lot of stuff which was rebadged Taiwanese generic OEM stuff. So it wasn't rebadged brand X or brand Y it was generic kit that Brand X or Brand Y got badged up for them. Plaent X and On One used to do the same.
The frames are very much designed from scratch and then built in Taiwan.
Nowadays Brant and co spec all the dimensions etc. and get their own stuff built to order. Some of it also seems to be rebadged generic OEM stuff as well (their track hubs being a good example which I've seen branded as Woodman, Cogswell etc...
It's decent kit at a decent price sold by decent people.
