back to the matter in hand...
if they refuse to give you a slot (as it were), could you offer to buy a hanging rack to stick up on the wall somewhere in the garage away from the cars? They don't cost much...£15ish & don't take up valuable car space.

if that doesn't work, buy some enormous motorbike chain and your d-locks, which you can leave on the sheffield stand & lock up with during the day. Should put off most nasty folk.
