  • My concern isn't whether I'm fit enough to do the miles, it's regarding the state of my left knee.
    I'm missing the two main ligaments. Basically all that holds my knee together is the muscle.

    Due to my broken collarbone I've been off the bike for 5 weeks, 6 by the time of dunwich.
    My worry, and insistance on riding increasing distances, is that I've had enough muscle wastage in that I just won't be able to complete the ride through the pain of constant over extension. Bear in mind that I'm also brakeless (Yes Object is his own worst enemy shocker).

    If I can manage the 70 on Friday with minimal pain then the DD should be doable. If I can't then I'll be close enough to home that I can jump a taxi and/or get a train

    If I sack Friday off and just to the DD on Sunday and my knee fucks up I'll be in the middle of no where I'll be back on crutches and another step closer to some hardcore operations that I just don't want.
