Hi, unfortunately I have to post on here, as my bike was stolen from me at 2pm on Saturday on Circus Road in St. John's Wood outside of the Tesco. The perp was even caught on CCTV. As you can imagine I'm quite gutted.
The bike is a 2005 Gary Fisher Cake DLX 1, a quite distinctive and rare bike, especially since I built the bike up from the frame. Its blue and black with carbon seatpost, straight handlebar, and bar ends. it is a 21 inch frame, so anyone shorter than 6'5, will odd on the bike. The man distictive feature is the front suspension, a Marverick front fork, which looks like a dirtbike suspension, the shock being on the bottom. The bike also has a cat eye computer mounted on the handlebar. It also has clipless peddles. It's in mint shape, as I just got a replacement frame from Gary Fisher less than a year ago(cracked frame)
I've already been to Brick lane, any other spots to look for it(besides gumtree/craigslist/ebay)? Is there any network of stolen bike Id's that are circulated to the bike shops so they are able to notify the owner if a stolen bike comes to them?
