I think its an early seventies Raleigh Record? Steel of some variety, lovingly hand enameled by its former Korean owner. Some erm, "vintage" parts on it:
Sachs Huret front and rear chainset
Steel Rigida Super Chromix 26 x 1/4 rims
Cottered cranks
**Plus sides: **
Its never been nicked, even when left unlocked epic fail style outside Brixton Tube over night.
Its mechanically still working, the frame's solid and the bars are the comfiest I own
It once kept up with Mr Jonny English's supersonic pace up Railton Road proving its not a heavy heap of shite
I've got a new pair of brakes for it, from Brixton Cycles - boxed and waiting to go on it
It'll make a good polo bike. Down sides
The seat post's stuck, fortunately at exactly the right height for me. You could hacksaw it out, or be about 5 foot seven with a 30 inside leg.
There's no pedals, or saddle, but I could bung a beater set on if you wanted.
The only reason I'm selling it is, well I've got too many bikes and the missus is getting annoyed with the shed getting a bit too full. And i've just bought her a shopper that needs to live in its place. Under the thumb? Never. Incidentally, did you know its National Shed Week this week? I'm going to give mine some love tomorrow.
Offers in the region of well, peanuts. £30 for the lot? Or a reasonable offer under that. Can split if you can be arsed to take it apart. Collection from Herne Hill / South Beers / Vauxhall / Brixton.
Right, Bluey's got to go and cheaply:
