Enough ! It will pull more than enough, you can use it but your modulation may be a little reduced, I have run MTB brakes on road calipers before without much problem, not perfect but workable.
The thing is a proper lever will only cost you a few quid.
MTB lever pull lots of cable.
Road lever pull a small amount of cable.
BMX lever pull a small amount of cable.
