  • suitable for a 6' newbee?

  • you might find 56cm being smallish mate...but i might be wrong...
you are welcome to have a go on it...see if you like it :)

  • I'm 6'2" and I rode a 56cm flyer for a year. It looked a bit dumb with the saddle and bars up high but I still miss having a smaller bike in traffic now that I've got one that fits. My back doesn't hurt anymore though!

  • Whereabouts in London are you?

what you mean smaller? in traffic having a narrow width help a lots in traffic, a taller bike is basically.. taller, not wider, am i missing summat here?

I felt more "tucked in", with a shorter wheel base, it felt more manoeuvrable. Also, the lower crossbar made it feel a bit more like a bmx. I'm not sure if it actually made any real difference, it just felt different.

  • I think I know what you mean, thought that was already moot since I changed from a road bike convertion to a track bike, which felt more manoeuvrable due to the fact that it's an actual track bike.

But what makes the track frame more manoeuvrable is exactly that, it (usually )has a shorter top tube, and shorter wheelbase than its road counterpart of the same size.

  • any pix?

  • Test drove a 58 flyer yesterday, was nice but felt like I could have done with a tougher ratio and would deffo not go any smaller. Nice ride and nice looking.

  • Hi - have you sold it?
