I was pissed one night in dalston with a friend coming out of a pub. my mate was punched hard in the face while he unlocked my bike for me and two blokes ran off with my bike.... as a result, shortly afterwards i bought my first fixedgear bike, and i've never looked back. plus i'm more vigilant about bike theft. I think my mate getting punched in the face hard was a price worth paying. The moral of the story is that dalston is a shit hole though.
