Wanted: Long reach front brake, or bigger legs

i've ended up putting a modern front wheel on my old pug forks so the brake won't reach the rim anymore. thought i'd be down with the kids and go brakeless but a fraught ride to work has convinced me otherwise. anyone got a spare long caliper they wouldn't mind posting north for cheap? any old shite will do.

on another note, when people refer to "stopping" on a brakeless bike, are they actually referring to "gradually slowing down very very slowly with a look of panic in their eyes" or is it just me?

Remember just because someone rides with a brake does not mean everyone without a brake is better rider than them.
