The closest I'd go to running tubs is Vittoria Open Corsas. Even they are too fragile for long stuff I reckon, although I only p_nct_re twice during Wessex in truly horrible conditions.
Still, I went back to using Vittoria Rubino Pro on London2Paris. No issues with them at all.
