thread hijack (sort of): does anyone else (other than me) not insure their bikes and just never leave them anywhere they're likely to get stolen / vandalised?
Well my bike is automatically covered on my house insurance for theft at or away from the house...but only up to £400. I could pay more to increase that value, but it hardly seems worth it - easier to pay that extra in the event of needing to replace the bike.
But I rarely leave the bike in public. At work it's locked and chained inside the building, ditto at home.....
