@'Jamas
We will definately rescreen it soon, the 'real premier'. It currently is one hour long, but we haven't really finished the film yet, it prob will run to 1h20m or so. Winstan hasn't interviewed anyone from the days when the club played host to legendary hardcore night 'Labrynth'. He needs to interview Prodigy and peeps like that. We have been rushing to get it finished as it stands for this V&A event.I'll keep you posted.
Dude tell any reggae heads you know to come along! its gonna be rammed.
Jacqui hope to meet you there, enjoy the film.

Legacy In The Dust
V&A lecture theatre
1pm, Sunday 6th July 2008
Approx. 1hr.
Everyone:
You are cordially invited, this Sunday at V&A at 1pm, the premiere of 'Legacy in the Dust: the Four Aces Story'. Its a documentary account of the The Four Aces Club in Dalston, which ran from '66 to around '99. The club, along with promoting ska, soul, reggae soundsystem and dancehall music for many years, played host to the Labrynth hardcore weekly for many years... some of you may know the club from this era. It features interviews with, amongst others, Bunny Lee, Dennis Bovell, Lloydie Coxsone, Fatman, Tipper Irie, Don Letts and The Slits. They explore the reasons why the club lasted so long, and the factors that contributed to the eventual demise of this historic Grade2 listed building in Hackney Council's Great £and $ell Off.
It's made by the same director who brought you 'Rollin Through The Decades' a couple of years back. There'll be a quick Q&A afterwards.
Free to get in.
Hope to see you there.
