My phone number is the private area numbers thread if I go off line. I'll also be at the John Snow early doors :-)

I'm going down to watch from the outside, I was there last night too, you can see the main stage well from outside and hear the music plenty. Watch out for the touts, I heard two coppers last night saying that the touts had been selling people tickets that had already been used, I think that they are scanned in to a computer on the way in. That story could be a load of balls too of course.

I think that i am going to head over to Hyde Park for about 7:15 to try and get a cheap tout's ticket to go to Wireless and see The National and maybe Morrissey as well. I'm not having a massive night, due to a 6:20am train to Sheffield tomorrow.
At the moment it'll be just lonely old me. Does anyone fancy joining me?
what a way to celebrate the victory over TFL. youre in for a treat with the national mate. theyre fucking brilliant. cant go wrong with beck or morrissey either!

Yeah, The National are why I want to go - one of my favourite bands at the moment. :-)

At Radiohead show last week yeah they just scan a barcode on ticket and give it back to you. Could very easily pass it off again for a unused ticket as there not marked at all. Shouldnt buy off touts anyway, there absolute cunts. As bad as the kids selling bikes on brick lane in my opnion.

It must be the case that you can't leave and come back then, because otherwise you could just get two and keep going out and taking people in with you. It's how I got into Glasto the first time many years ago. Surely they're wise to that one?
Agreed, all of the touts I saw looked like complete mother raping cuntbags.

I had tickets for the Hard Rock Calling thing in Hyde Park last weekend - once you come out, you can't go back in and the tickets are useless.

Damn this is bad news, I'd better try and get one of someone selling an extra then.

There were plenty of people doing that last night, hang around the box office area or slightly further away, where people are walking through the park to the gates, they are usually trying to shift them before getting there.
Also, a lot of the touts were just hanging around selling tickets, not pissing off straight after a sale, I was watching after what I overheard. So you know what to look out for and can find them again if they are taking the mick.

Plenty of cops around, but I agree, I would rather not have to bother with that if possible at all. They would all gang up too, like a pack of rats.

At Hard Rock there were a couple of hundred people standing outside the gig and they could see and hear pretty much as well as the crowd. Just saying. Plus they were free to go and buy food/drink from anywhere they wanted, unlike the crowd.
