I require an actual random number generator to select my tunes. Not your computer generated pseudo-random algorythm bullshit either. I limit my music collection to 49 tracks and twice a week I watch the lottery draw, I can then listen to 6 tracks and a bonus track for the next three days.

now that is interesting...it seems an entire months worth of research was pointless.back to the drawing board for me.

isn't the ipod shuffle less random than it used to be? in order to make it 'seem' more random they had to make it less random, or something.

maybe. there is no such thing as true man-made randomness, after all.
after extensive testing I've come to the conclusion that iTunes is better at shuffling tracks then windows media player and winamp.
