  • I'm reluctantly selling my Bryan Warnett Track bike that has recently had a full professional renovation by Bob Jackson Cycles.

Bryan Warnett was a Welsh track rider in the 50's who went onto build bikes out of a shop in Cardiff.

    Size 22.5" Seat tube C to C.

The bike has Renolds 531 tubbing,
    cast alloy 50's stem,
    Campag chainset, seat pin,
    Brooks saddle,
Bull bars with Brooks leather tape,
Suzue Fixed hubs on Mavic MA3 rims.

A great piece of usable history.

£500 pick up from Leeds or Pickering.

Willing to box & post at cost ( would prefer buyer to see bike so I know everyone's happy)

    Lots of Pics available.

  • frame & paint jobs lookin blingin.

But personally think ONLY polished alloy wheels would look good on that.

Also, do you not think those handle bars are a little distasteful?
They lunge at you like a pair of cocks.

look waay wrong mate, you needs some drops. For the sake of stability too, that much leverage on keen track steering will feel well light and choppy. BE surprised if you can ride in a straight line.

I thought I knew what "blingin'" meant. Now I'm not so sure. The stays are brown, right?

  • dude I think you might want to relist your post in the "Classifieds" section. Bikes and bits is more about frame / component information and appreciation rather than selling.

  • Cheers I think !!!

The Bull bars are fitted as it is used for time trialing, but not as often as it should be which is why i'm selling it.

I agree it would look better with drops on...

    hah!

  • there's no accounting for the imagery in some people's heads, eh

  • if you see two members resembling the shape of those bars (one of which has a brake lever on the end) "lunging" towards you, maybe it's time to leave.

  • ..

  • ive got bars like that on my singlespeed, they just need lowering then their well comfy

  • why sell man, christ almighty, get an over-draught instead !
