You can make some paragraph jokes later.
I already admitted that im grammatically inept, can bareley string a sentence together let alone a paragraph.

let me know when. your grammar is fine, it's the spaced out, bullet-point style aesthetic that freaks me out.

I am quite the opposite, a large block of text for me is like wading through quick sand - individual points put in their own place seems to speed up comprehension for me.

No this is a myth, what is suited to the person works best for them. Apply your idea to blood groups at the point of transfusion to see what I mean.
For me individualized points help understanding, why have a conversation with someone when you can get the point over perfectly well with a PowerPoint presentation ?

1 cross or radial, there is a difference, however i've done both with 260ish spokes. 3x 282mm

use 272mm's in the front, and 286's in the rear. job done, if you need a hand or to borow my shiny new park wheel jig, let me know!

one cross on the front, three cross on the back.
I would do straight up radial on the front, but I have to blast over a lot of potholes and jump the odd curb. Reckon it would feel a little rough with 0 cross?
Cheescake:
Thats a very kind offer that I would LOVE to take you up on. But Im in Birmingham, and it might be a bit of a faff bringing my rims down. Knowing my luck Transport police would probably confiscate my spokes and question me for terrorism.
But I am visiting my brothers exhibition sometime in a week or so. So maybe? I havent met much other "radical fixed wheel bicyclists" maybe opportunity to see some of the faces ive been talking crap to over the past couple weeks?

download yourself the spocalc excel file from sheldon browns website i find it much better than the DT swiss one....
Hello,
im building some wheels for myself for the first time and need a little help with spoke calc so I dont fuck up and buy the wrong spokes.
On the DT swiss spoke calc, it asks for "no. of intersections" in the spokes bit.
I take this to mean, how many "cross" i.e the lacing pattern. So I entered 1 for both sides of the front wheel as I want one-cross.
Would someone more experienced mind checking to see if Im doing it right?
http://www.dtswiss.com/SpokesCalc/Calculator.aspx
I have DT swiss 1.1 double eyelet 36H rims and Suzue Hi flange Hubs.
I get 271mm for the front(one cross) and 284mm for the rear(3 cross).
Is this correct? And does it make a difference whether I lace the front one-cross on the inside or the outside of the flange? Also I found some 285mm spokes on sale, is that too different from 284 to work?
Would appreciate any advice,
Many thanks.
