They are a whole different level of stiff & heavy compared to your frame, its truly wasted amount of strength & weight. Especially on things like cranks which create rotational mass giving you a slightly more sluggish ride. In addition, most 3pc bmx crank spindles are very wide, as well as the arms being a minimum of 175 usually. Flatland cranks are shorter & narrower but you stoll have the problem of them being designed to run BMX chainrings with a single fixing bolt. This creates a whopping tight spot in your chain which feels awful on fixed. Last of all you will need a BMX Euro BB, for modern cranks with a 22mm spindle, these bottombrackets need ultra thin bearings and are very expensive. For the same price of the whole setup you could get some the best modern track specific cranks
