  • Found these Anyone experienced them before?

  • The track wheels recently got a good review in Cycling+ and their road wheels are well looked upon.

  • I'm assuming these are tubs?

  • remember rusty assumtion is the mother of all fuck ups.

    they're clinchers.

  • The white hubs I saw close up were minging; powdercoat flaking off and soft looking threads filled with swarf. Your mileage may vary.

  • Halo make track? huh i was under the assumption they usually make MTB and BMX rims!

    Indeed you are correct,

this is a bandwagon jump-on innit!

They have the cheek to call it a track wheelset too when they have both machined braking surface AND no tub option.

  • people ride track bikes to the track, some want to have a brake and clinchers.

Yeah I was also surpised. According to Cycling + "Halo Track Hubs are quite possibly the finest we have seen for real world riding and weather conditions." And they go on :"The problem with the most high end track hubs is that they are designed with only track use in mind (means they are mainly build for indoor use and dry conditions)"

I say, everyone is trying to benefit from ss/fg trend :))))

  • if you're crafty (buy parts from the US, build the wheels yourself) you can get much better wheels for £160. And the prices listed are wholesale prices, I dread to think what they would be retail....

I'm amazed they wrote that. It's total bollocks. Have they heard of Goldtec? Phil?
