How can people afford cars?

I cant see how people afford them either. £2 a litre or whatever. Unbelievable, much rather spend my money on my bike and beer. Only time I need one is when doing a bulk shop. Also if I owned one my wife would probably get me to drive her to random places at the weekend scuppering any cycle related activities.

I want to get one of those trailers like Darwins Deli use for sandwich deliveries to offices for 'big shops' or a run to Makro. Just a packing crate on wheels far as I can tell.
