Loads and loads and loads and loads could not imagine life for one minute without a car and you can run a car for a lot less that fifteen quid a day. In London it sounds daft until you think about getting the kids off to school or the shopping back from sainsburies.
Kids could always walk to school (or cycle, There's a big government initiative to make schools accessible to all kids by non-road cycle paths) and sainsbury's could be ordered online.
It's easy to hop into a car though. Until it's no longer easier the car is here to stay. I do see cars being more of a luxury eventually. I wont pay £2/l for petrol anyway.
