Having been to a lot of cobbled classics, i.e. Het Volk, Flanders, Paris-Roubiax, I think you'll find that most riders tend to ride traditional wheels with box section rims 3x laced. It's rare to see factory wheels and very rare to see carbon rims.
I think Slipstream used carbon rims in this year's Paris-Roubaix and had lots of problems. Somehow I doubt they'll do the same next year.
