i've got two bass tubes and an decent kenwood / alpine amp that i would be willing to donate to the sound system
yeah. any donations would be very welcome :-)
CM / Polo trailer soundsystem. It has to be.
Sam, as discussed, I'm definitely in. Lets start a list of things we need and then people can offer assistance.
Yes?yes yes!
we need (in roughly this order):- a design. it should either be a trike or a trailer. a trailer will be easier to make, but a trike would be much cooler!
- a place to build it (my flat is quite small and on the 8th floor of a tower block, so not ideal)
- someone who can weld
- steel tubing
- drivers for the speaker cabs.
- mdf to build some speaker cabs.
- 12v batteries.
- car amps.
- some power tools.
- some sick tunage!
there's loads of other stuff, but i think the most important thing is to come up with a design first, then we can start gathering bits and pieces.
there's a lot of equipment i have access to in newcastle, so if we get the ball rolling over the next couple of weeks i can work on a few bits for it while i'm there. - a design. it should either be a trike or a trailer. a trailer will be easier to make, but a trike would be much cooler!

Sam, there are fakeospoks (24 inch) on ebay atm for 14.99 each. I bought one as a joke wheel for my lo-pro, if it's as stupid as it probably will be, I will donate it to the cause. :)
hmm. that might be sweet on the front.
the rear wheels take a MASSIVE axle, so i think we'll have to keep the rear ones as they are.
or lace the hubs to some deep v's ;-) -

Just gonna build the sound system myself. I know a bit about speaker design and have a bit of experience with building trash-trawled pa systems.
Got a couple of 18" bass bins in newcastle, but i think they're just too big!
I think it's gonna be best built into a separate trailer which attaches to a bike. Just thinking about what the best way to do it is.
Design ideas are very welcome!take some close ups if the back axle and i can whip up some designs. this is too sweet not to be a trike. should be easy enough, just use an old shitty girls bike frame

there ya go emo.
we'll need a better place to build this as i'm in an upstairs flat and the thing only just fits in my lift as it is. also, i'm moving next week and it would be nice no to have to take it with me!

i am actually intending on turning the c64 into an instrument (well.. upgrading the c64 synth i already built).
bike-based-electro-band!
