  • Planning on building some wheels,
got myself some polished suzue hubs a couple weeks ago.

Have been on a mad hunt for some deep section rims Under £20each, and kinda been failing!
Found a nice gold mavic shallow reflex rim today for cheeeapzz! today, couldnt resist and bought it.

Still fancy a deep rim for the "other" wheel though.
Problem is, Im not sure which way round to have them?

The gold rim has a posh braking surface, so it might make sense to have it on the front.
But will having a deep rim on the rear create more rotational mass?
Also what will it do to the aero dynamic scheme of things?

Would like some advice on the overall pros and cons of which way round I should have them, and what might simply look best.
The front will be one-cross 36, the rear three-cross 36
ny advice on what spokes would be best while im at it, would butted/thin spokes be OK for hard riding if only on the front?

    thanxx

(edited for reasons of inept grammar, any better? )
