check your wall thickness of the tubing, and give the chainstays a squeeze with the wheel out,
youll get a good idea of the the "mechanical properties" of your frame, important to know.

SLX, IIRC, is the "lightweight" version of SL.
A lot of the 80's CrMo tubesets were a bit flexi, which probably inspired the early Alu and Carbon frames (remember the Peugeot Fibre de Carbone? http://velospace.org/node/942)
If you lean the bike against a wall and apply some foot-based force to the end of the BB axle, the framewill probably deflect much further than you might expect.
not had an SLX frame before. Super light and rides lovely, but I am little concerned at how much it flex's. When I brake hard (rear) or skid stop the cranks seem to flex. I have ruled out loose BB /cranks, bend chainring, bendy cranks, so the only thing left is the frame.
Anyone else had anything like this? Is it normal, is it trashed, is SLX not up to harsh road treatment?
