How on earth do you even get an interview for something like this. I mean, i've always been interested in getting a job related to something i'm passionate about, i ride, build and love bikes but how do you take this a stage further?
hurumpf!
Show you have an eye for accuracy, spelling, grammar. Show enthusiasm for bikes and helping other people to get on their bikes and ride them. Have some idea of how to use websites and publications for communicating the above, and what could be used to make them even more valuable and powerful commodities.
Being able to do a lot with very little (money-wise) probably helps a load too.
Oh, and be sane at the interview. Always helps. If you get an interview you've already proven to that the job is doable and then they're just trying to work out if you'd fit in with the team and culture of the place.
