Didn't LCC advertise that same job only a coupla months ago?

I think RPM is the man for the job - he could start with his Nut a Nodder campaign

I rode home in rush hour traffic today for the first time in a while and I would defiantly join that campaign, although I would extend it to just "nut someone today".

I vote for a job-share between Aidan, Hippy and Dogs.

i'm up for it.
i'm tolerant and enthusiastic about cycling and cyclists. especially new ones. -

Isn't having a beard one of the criteria for working with LCC (or am I getting confused with CTC)?
Anyway - that'd be hippy then, or a job-share between the grupetto clones ;)

CTC are the beardy ones.
It's a fun job :)

No, the position has been filled for quite a while (by tricitybendix above) and it's only coming up now because she is leaving to do something else that she's passionate about.

Genius.
I am having hilarious hungover visions of the TV campaign and everything. On a side note, I really need to stop laughing aloud in the office. If they cotton on to the fact that I do fuck-all most of the day, I may have to apply for the job at LCC.

can you get by just being into bikes and cycling / slipping tricitybendix some dorrah?
I've got a hybrid, I'm in touch with the common man.
I'm not so in touch with posh ladies, sadly. No Pashley.

How on earth do you even get an interview for something like this. I mean, i've always been interested in getting a job related to something i'm passionate about, i ride, build and love bikes but how do you take this a stage further?
hurumpf!

Show you have an eye for accuracy, spelling, grammar. Show enthusiasm for bikes and helping other people to get on their bikes and ride them. Have some idea of how to use websites and publications for communicating the above, and what could be used to make them even more valuable and powerful commodities.
Being able to do a lot with very little (money-wise) probably helps a load too.
Oh, and be sane at the interview. Always helps. If you get an interview you've already proven to that the job is doable and then they're just trying to work out if you'd fit in with the team and culture of the place.

Almost all of the above I agree with VB, but lots of the voluntary / third sector doesn't have that 'do you fit in' assessment that happens in the commercial world.
The person spec should indicate what skills they're trying to assess and when (i.e. from the application form, from an interview test, from the interview itself). The working atmosphere at LCC always seems good when I've been there.
