I've run Gatorskin tubs for a few years now, and they're certainly better than pile-o-shit tubs like the Conti Giro, and they grip well.
However as someone mentioned once before somewhere, I think Conti's are subject to an annoying variance in quality - I've got 5 of these tubs, 2 are bulletproof and the other 3 puncture fairly regularly when the roads are wet. For the cost this is essentially shit.
I only use them because i've got them, and I don't mind repairing them (I quite enjoy it!), but I would seriously investigate other brands - Tufo look good to me.
Ultimately they're expensive and unreliable.
Oh and it looks like J.E. James in Sheffield is the cheapest source if you want to get them
