Hey guys, glad to have finally made it out to one of your events. The ride was much fun. As forthe shenanigans at the end of th night...
Twat hit stompy pretty hard from behind and accelerated off.
We (skully and I) chased him-he jumped a pedestrian red light on old street at 3.30am!
Caught him at lights he couldn't jump.
I stopped in front of him asking what on earth he was doing. He then hit the accelerator with me hanging on the bonnet. I wouldn't have minded awefully but I asked him to stop at a kebab house en route :(
(thankfully I'd overdosed on Magnum PI plus Dempsey and Makepeace on UK GOLD so knew what to!)We eventually parked up on the cobbles that lead to hoxton square where I managed to grab the keys out of the ignition. He was unbelievably pissed.
I just hope the lfgss event that I attend has more cocaine, hookers and helicopters and less inner tubes, renault laguna estates and drunken somalis!!

Wow! Glad you didn't get hurt Stompy. What's going on at that Old St roundabout!? Festus we will need to equip you with a siren!
Anyway, great night! I loved:
- the wobbly bridge
- going round Parliament Square. Twice.
- the 2 guys inviting some of you to join them into the bushes of Barnes Common (and not Putney Heath as I misinformed some of you..)
- the lovely cab driver in Earls Court who asked us with a big smile at the lights, "wow what's going on, so many of you!", at that point we were only 7 heading home...
- the fresh air
- the people who led the ride
- all the happy faces we met on the way
- the grumpy cab driver at Wandsworth roundabout
- Cornelius telling us to be quiet in residential areas and at the same time creating subsidence in the surrounding houses with his mad voice.
- and the great company!
- the wobbly bridge

Yep, I too concur with the above-stated appreciation.
Glad you're OK Stompy.

Apologies for the crappy mobile phone camera, that can't seem to take photos on the dark. That was great fun, including the random off-roading and the voice of Corny aka Foghorn Leghorn. Everybody seemed to like us last night, apart from those two blokes during the Gunnersbury puncture (one of whom was walking home carrying a bar stool) who went very quiet the minute 20 of us stopped over the road to them.

Today, I am thanking the Gods of Codeine and Dicloflenac.

Ouch. Did you get the cops involved with this hit and run guy?
Yes, all five of us (stompy, multigrooves, shootthbreeze, tobi (?) and I, hung around at Old St/hoxton talking to cops for ages. I personally was about a a quarter mile from home, ready to hit the hay, when this happened.
I have never ever been so shitted up in all my life, and it wasn't even ME on the bonnet of drunken african man's car, it was MultiG, I was just left holding his bike, mouth agape/ screaming 'Call the Fucking Poleeeeece!!'. Honest, I'm still shaking. Then I seriously jumped a mile when I subsequently saw MG ALIVE not DEAD, five minutes after speeding off doing his best Bodie/Doyle impression on that dude's bonnet. It was so freaky I can't begin...
Late, Police had to be told about it that bit about sixteen times before they eventually said 'He did what???' and started taking it a bit more seriously.
Hope you're not too shaken, stompy. that must have been a bit mad being shunted like that.
Both those dudes are REALLY lucky not to be in hospital or worse, right now.
Ride safe all. And don't try and stop a car by blocking it, guys, this proves it aint worth it. Really.

Great ride everyone, really nice atmosphere. Thanks to all of you for making it good, you're really excellent people - all of you.

Not much to add to all of the above, other than that was one memorable night. Had an amazing time. Officially addicted to speedy group riding.
The one back from Kew (good pace...Ma3k, Corny, Multi, Turbo, lady whom i didn't get the name of) that res road just before the the last little bridge sprint before the end, and a coupla others on the way were alorra fun. Great bunch of people, great weather (for the most part), and then THE most nuts end to it all...
Not quite the sunrise moment I had had in mind. I think Primrose Hill woulda been a little better than giving a statement in Hoxton Sq. Hope you're all cool Stompy. You were well lucky. And as for Multi... what can I say... the streets are a safer place thanks to you. If we could just get the CCTV footage up here, you'd have free drinks for some time ! It's funny, but I clocked you going through Liverpool Street y'day eve, about 7.45. I was in car (euch! - picking up g/f from station) so didn't say hi, but it looked like you were back on PATROL ! ha... see ya out there sn. And thanks to Ma3K and all that helped organise such a great night... SHins (you just don't belong at the back) -
