Thanks very much guys, I wouldn't have liked to have been alone.
Short version:
I was hit by a car on Old Street roundabout. I stayed on the bike sheer luck - I wish I could remember how. Festus and Skullhead asked if I got the number plate, I said no, and they chased off after the car. Tobi pulled me off the road by my handlebars insisting that I stop. I put my bike on the railings and then the tube exploded - my tire must have been knocked off the rim.
Buckled back wheel, but not so bad. As I was finishing fixing it, Festus and Skullhead come back. Festus has the cnut's car keys which he managed to get after some bonnet surfing (yes, that's what I said). The cnut fled the seen leaving the car. Police said he may have been leaving the seen of an earlier crime.
Nobody was hurt - but guys - you went above and beyond and I am grateful.
Oh and Festus - the stuff I was talking about is called 'Compeed'.
