Record 10% lighter overall on a groupset, function equal.

Was wondering the same thing are they compatible

Is this the same for older models?
I have 90s Chorus - but have an issue with the rear derailleur - unfortunately one of those 8 speed ones and looking for a replacement

Record is lighter than Chorus, more Titanium etc, fully compatbile with each other, sane size BB etc.
Where you looking at them out of interest? I want to get a 2006 Carbon Record chainset in 172.5

i wonder what the correct spindle length would have to be for an 80's Campag Chorus crank set.
i heard 102mil, yet i feel it might be more like 111mil. -

Probably 111.
Don't think they started on 102 came along until 94/95

Yeah, 111.
dommyracer, Total Cycling are/were selling 2006 Record carbon 170s for a shade under £150. What's 2.5mm between friends?

From what i understand, it's 102mm for 2 ring crank & 111mm for 3 ring crank? which would make sense. (late 80's early 90's)
These are the cranks i've just bought:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170454501516&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:ITAnd so far i understand it's 102mm crank? like this for eg:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Campagnolo-Chorus-Bottom-Bracket-Double-68-x-102mm_W0QQitemZ350315924514QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_sportsleisure_cycling_bikeparts
_SR?hash=item519074cc22???? still not certain though. my BB shell is 68/70mm which would leave 15mm for cranks either side?
I'm looking at some '06 Record and Chorus chainsets, and I can't really see much difference between the two...apart from the price. They even look almost identical FFS.
Any info guys? Cheers
