I think that was a day in Melbourne when the underwear label my lady was designing for was doing a catwalk show in town.
Mmmm Kenevans.

hmm, or maybe middle, left, right...decisions, decisions!

right is defo last, middle first, left 2nd!

yep.

I think 3 is deceptive. I'll see if the lady has more pics.

why?? i think it looks real tight, in fact probably as tight as possible, nice lugs etc.
from a framebuilders POV, that bike is nothing exciting and poorly designed. It has a very steep seat tube angle, even steeper headtube angle and minimal rake (which is the highlight of the build, because it quite possibly matches the headtube angle to give the bike a proper "trail" measurement) and as far as I can tell, it doesnt have just toe clip overlap, it looks like its more pedal overlap. The wheelbase is too short and imho, that bike is too unstable at high speeds. The lugs are a stock lug for that set of tubes, however, the shorelines look ok.
And he's Scottish/American so he's obviously got no style or taste
My ethnicity has nothing to do with my style or taste. just ask your mom, it didnt bother her....
OUCH, thats going to leave a mark....

It won't be porn for everone but I though this 14 speed hub was very cool:
Less cool is the owner's shirt:

i used to work for a very large dealer of those rohloff hubs.. very nice but pricey..around £700...and they fit them into heavy touring bikes so its like riding a train.
anyone seen the cannondale badboy rohloff? mmmm

• #3287
I'm putting a Rohloff onto my next bike. Pricey yes, but I think the pro's outweigh the few con's that exist (price, weight distribution).

this is from dave moultons bike blog
" Therefore, I maintain the opinion that toe overlap on a bicycle is neither a design fault nor a problem."
" Toe overlap is a result of other critical design factors and cannot always be avoided especially on smaller frames."
"Toe overlap is not a problem because riding and cornering at normal speed the front wheel never turns far enough for the toe to hit the front wheel."
heres the actual blog if you want to see the context and other stuff about why toe overlap doesnt mean poorly designed bike.

I don't think that it was suggested toe overlap was the only problem with that frame.
Bikes have to be made as experiments sometimes - that is a *really *tight frame.
looks nice, rides?
-
• #3290
Oh my. That is stupid.
Why on earth do you need valves that long?
And he's laced up the wheel wrong to have put the valves (rim alignment) in that position.
-
• #3291
DW is right. That bike might be fun for about 5 minutes, but it is unrideable and impractical. Extremely short wheelbase + hardly any fork rake = way too twitchy. His hands will be in front of the front hub, his legs directly above the BB.

• #3292
It's always possible to overdo things.
That bike reminds me of this muppet.
Overdone it to the point of no longer being fit for purpose. I doubt he could scratch the back of his head if he tried.

A touche, should have known better than to question a frame builder of all people ; )

The pedal overlap is only one of the design flaws on this bike. If this bikes purpose was to be a match sprint bike, then the designer really missed the mark. Match sprinters often need to turn the bars at slow speeds while jockeying for position.
Again, the wheelbase on that bike is way too tight to be effective for any track event I am aware of....

Sticks and stones mate, sticks and stones....hey, I respond to your adolescent jabs in kind. Its not the first time you have gone "on the offensive" with me. btw, calling someone a "cunt" is fighting words where i come from....
and the entire limmerick goes as follows...
Sticks and stones may break my bones, but whips and chains excite me.

I don't think it looks that different in the angles compared to other trackbikes, but we can all agree that it was build up pretty poorly (laced up wrong wheels, and the valves being long, and the cranks look really long as well)
The angles look a bit more aggressive due to the photo not being horizontal.
Top tube looks to be a bit short and with longer cranks (175mm perhaps) overlap will get worse. Overlap is not (that big) a problem on the streets as long as you're used to it, and I don't see it being a problem on the track.
first rate bike porn! But what order. I'd personally go left to right ;)
