• hi im looking to trade my bill cuss reynolds 531 track frame plus campagnolo front wheel with green velocity rim for your good rear wheel with velocity,[any color considered] and preferably a 16/17t cog. i am a courier and i've killed my rear wheel so i need a new one for monday [ monday 16th of june]. the frame is in good nick, could do with a respray and the seat post is pretty firmly in, but a bike shop will get it out if you cant. its a 52cm seat tube and has long track ends also has a cane creek headset and i have a bottom bracket that fits. 110mm square tapered. the front wheel is light as f@*% with a couple of little marks. [sorry about the pic im in a an internet cafe so cant take another.] i dont really want to trade all this for one wheel but i have no cash and need a wheel for monday. lawrence 07946 317 624

  • Would you sell just the front wheel??

  • I'm really hoping for the swap otherwise gonna be stuck for monday. but if theres no interest then probaly up for sale next week

  • try pming dogsballs he MAY be up for a trade. Also try looking in the classified section there have been a few wheels for sale recently.

How exactly have you killed your rear wheel? Bearings? rim buckled too much? There may be someone able to help. If your spare front wheel has the same number of spoke as your rear and it's buckled you caould swap the rim over.

    Good luck.

  • the rear is an old alexrims ace 19 and I've been having to re align the cones weekly. it now sounds like something has crawled inside and died. I've striped it and cleaned it and within days its ruined again. I'm so done with this wheel. thanks for the advice thou, will pm dogsballs

  • cool best of luck

  • braincap, that is not a track frame.

At least it does not have track ends.

  • I was told when I bought it that it was. and edie at witcombs gave me a little back ground info on it. stating it was an old skool track frame. sorry not track ends. vertical dropouts. whatever, its a bargain!

  • I think it's probably a road frame which has had it's braze-ons removed. I've never come across a track frame which has forward-facing dropouts. I'm not disputing the quality of the deal, just want to make sure you're not leading people on (however unintentionally). :)

  • fair enough
