Very rare Flying Scot Track / Path bike with luxurious sculpted lug work. Reynolds 531 tubing frame and fork.
Original paintwork, with lugs picked out with original badge and transfers, although slightly faded looks brilliant...
    Handlebars and stem cinelli 65-42.
Miche primato chainset (new! under 50 miles of use!)
    53t Campagnolo ring.
21t fixed cog included plus lockring.
Rear wheel AMBROSIO single side fixed. Front wheel nothing special(Rigida) but both running super smooth.
Quality and tuff Continental Ultra Gator skin 700 x 28 Tyres.
Shimano Ultegra Brakes dual pivot Shimano. Ritchey seatpost. New Ritchey saddle. Will come with choice of spd / pedals.
This is a very hard to find vintage track bike - probably around 40 years old - that is beautiful to ride. Everything working perfectly.Very light and comfortable. Brilliant training / commute bike. This kind of bike will last forever. Handmade with care and attention - one of a kind. The frame and forks alone are worth a good deal of money...
Size 53cm/21" c to t - remember this has a raised BB so measurements can differ - good for someone from 5"9 to 6"2 approx.....

  • dude sounds good...

Don't think I'd want to ride a 53cm bike if I was 6'2" though! I'd have thought it was more for people in the 5'7" - 5'10" range (depending on how big/small you like them).

    Probably looks lush though.

  • any ideas on apx how much i should offer?

    cheers guys

  • let me put it another way, do you reckon £400 is too much?

  • I reckon for 400 that's a good deal.

  • nice

  • id buy it now for 350!
    (coz thats all ive got)

  • That bike is v. nice.

  • Only just spotted this post. Did you buy the Scot? If it's the bike I think it is, then I hope not.

This green and white Scot was on sale up here in Glasgow. It started on Gumtree and eventually found its way to eBay, where it sold for about two hundred quid. I made enquiries about the bike, but decided to pass because of dents in the frame. I saw the same machine on Gumtree London a few weeks later. The new owner wanted £400. He conveniently forgot to mention the dents. Hope you've no' paid over the odds... :-(
