they aren't soft bolts. your torque wrench must be broken. -

Or it could indeed be a soft bolt, or too shallow to allow properly seated grip and hence damage. - It happens.

And do remember to grease under the bolt head/between bolt head and captive washer if there is one/on captive washer if there is one... as well as the threads.
But you probably knew that.

'No grease under head of bolts or washers. Degrease if necessary.
But maybe that is specific to their products. (?)

they aren't soft bolts. your torque wrench must be broken.they are very soft inside the bolt head - you can feel the the shape going. they're not steel, they're something else

yeah, like aluminium.
they shear instead of stripping the thread out of the stem body, which in most cases fucks the stem.
so you end up needing to whack out £30-£40 on a new one, instead of some pence for a bolt.
be careful if you get stainless ones, 5-6 newton metres.
for my deda stem? one of the heads has rounded off - the ones that came with it were pretty soft.
