  • That sucks, you surely need some good luck to come your way, how bad is the break? Do you heal quickly? Did they give you one of those funky blue foam slings? Where did they take you, Royal London? When is your fracture clinic appointment?

  • made a reeeeal bad noise, i was sat 20 meters away and it sounded 'smashy', like glass or somethin. heal up fast matey.

  • Excellent ! You can finally get Strongbow on the NJS !?

i thinks its lager or cider.

For those who hasn't seem object's new beauty.

  • God in his wisdom gave you two collar bones, you'll be alright fella ;)
    Get betterer soon.

  • I am sooooo never going near the polo court other than as a spectator.

  • tough luck dude. on my clavicle break, i was strong enough to support my weight after about 4wks but some restricted movement. there is no standard...but if you're lucky you could be back on that shtty* bike after 2wks. surgeons concluded on my 12th wk xray that the break would never fuse back together. arm and shoulder are functioning ok so no biggy.

*seriously. very nice bike there. love the matte black + sublime highlights of the pink.

  • Oh dear. Nice bike Em, can I borrow it?

  • geez, what people do for attention!! and for drugs!! :p

  • What can I say?

Accidents happen. I'm not exactly worried, You know I'll be fine.
Thanks for all of the kind words (not you dogs).

As I was playing polo I was on the surly which is hard as nails. I don't think it even got scratched. The whole impact was in the centre of my right clavical. Felt and heard it go. Got off the bike, snapped it back into place. The laughing gas and morphine sorted the pain. Haven't had any painkillers since yesterday and still slept most of the night. It's uncomfortable but the foam sling is good enough.

My fracture clinic appoinment is on Monday. It's a clean break so I'm not expecting to need it plating and pinning. Which is almost a shame really ;]

Typing with one hand is tedious and I suspect I'll shed a tear or two everytime I look at my new bike and can't go riding. I've locked all of my bikes and Scott's got the keys so I can't be stupid (He doesn't take bribes so don't even ask ;] ).

I'm going to be off work for a while so won't be online often, hopefully I'll still make some social drinks though ;]

    Peace y'all

  • you couldv'e at least done your knee, so you could help scott with making bags!

  • I think my legs have had enough trauma in the last year.
Need to share the pending arthritis around my body for later life.

  • is his leg bound as well, or is that an emilie-style fashion accessory?

Get well soon you crazy fool.

It's my hinged knee brace, just pulled down my leg so it didn't hinder bloodflow.

  • Heal up soon matey, see you at south drinks soon!

  • Off now. Number in the relevent thread if anyone wants it.

  • Next week I reckon.

  • Pain is temporary, bones heal and most importantly chicks dig scars. Which is why your injury is shit and stupid. No scars.

Bad luck Object, get well soon. I'll sign the cast when I see you next and maybe even buy you a drink.

That picture doesn't really do it justice, it's pretty amazing in real life, he really hasn't compromised anywhere, an ultralight £70 Thomson Elite seatpost ?? Fuck that cheap commuter shit this bike uses the legendary Thomson Masterpiece !

    :)

  • Thomson fuck me off. If they're going to do an inline and a layback post, why the fuck don't they fucking well make the layback at least the industry standard of 25mm, or if they want to maintain their fucking caché, why don't they fucking well make it 26mm or 33mm or some fucking shit like that. If they go under, in this cut-throat consumer culture, because they failed to take £60 odd quid out of my fucking pocket, I won't give a fucking shit. They're harbouring a prejudice against people with long arms and bodies, and it's fucking typical of them to expect me to get numb hands just so that I can ride their otherwise exactly-what-I-needed-for-a-recent-build piece of engineering. Fucking wankers.

    :D

    !!!

Their layback posts, for me at least, fail on looks alone, bendy bendy no good.
