• Post-incident last week, I now have teeth, and less pain, and my attentions have turned to my bike.

    Definitely the forks are gone, and the frame appears to have sustained some damage.

    Now, it looks to me like the torque of the forks taking the impact have twisted the headtube, and caused that crease in the downtube, and the top-tube has bent down to remain attached. The image on the right has an old seat post taped to the top tube at the far end, to show what "straight" should be.

    I suspect this is now a much weakened part of my frame - and it needs replacing. Can anyone confirm that one for me?
