in the 80's my dad found a parrot in our back yard, and we kept it for a few hours until the owners recovered it. The local paper deemed this to be worthy of a story (!) and the wankers mis-quoted what my dad said, even though it was only one sentence.
ever since then, I've never trusted the press. scumbags the lot of 'em!
