I have aquired a number of NOS GOLD suzue Large Flange rear BMX hubs, which are basically identical to the suzue,Suntour,Malliard and I think some shimano track hubs of the ERA.
Minus the fact that they are obviously threaded to take a freewheel.
Now, I need to build myself a new fixed wheel and it would make sense to use one of these. As id be paying over the odds looking for a formula hub and the likes in gold.
Anyone know where I can get new threads cut into it?
From pictures of track hubs, it looks as if the lockring threaded part has a smaller diameter than the cog part.
Would this mean I would have to stick it in a lathe first to take of a bit, then get hold of a die to cut the new threads?
Is there some standard measurements I could take into a machining workshop?
I have 4 hubs by the way, and think I know where to get a few more.
