• jonny (gear hefner)...we talked about this maybe its time you STFU

  • jonny if you are in oxford tomorrow, look me up ( I'll be around for the brief period of the afternoon)- I can normally be found at Exeter College or at the RSL.
    Morning= Exam.
    Afternoon= panic revision for thursday.

    Weather forecast for here tomorrow is dry. The roads will be wet though mate, esp here, take care.
    have pm'ed my number.

  • The same day I finish exams, so I won't be able to ride. I still vote Oxford, so I can hang with the LFGSS folks in my sub fusc.

  • Looking at the route. As you come into Oxford, I'd suggest heading around the eastern bypass (nice big cycle lane/road) to Iffley Rd, rather than Cowley. You can then pop by the very cool OCW, on Magdalen Rd. Also a nicer road to cycle on than Cowley, which is a pile of poo death trap.

  • yes, i'd agree with that. or go up and come in down the woodstock road?

  • you got a mates in the oxford innit, Nimhhus?

    shall we pop in and visit?

  • no, not really. i used to have, many years ago, but not now

  • what about that sound guru bloke?

  • rpm, you got me all excited. when i saw you posted a few mins ago i thought you had decided to bin the world of work tomorrow for the world of blacktop glory. well, a probably rain sodden ride to a small provincial university city in any case. it's not too late dude.

    but then i don't want to get in the way if you and nimbhus have a date ;)

  • bin the world of work?

    I so fucking wish, I really do.

    but not his week, and maybe not for a few more. but I promise a skiver's wednesday ride will be on in the futurage

  • yeah, like off the peg, mid week skive rides is what's all gonna be about.

    shit man, i might pull a sicky next Tuesday, hire a langster and ride the big hills to cambridge.

  • I'm going to get a pinnacle bachelor and take a whole week off and ride to scotland

  • cool. i have a unipack on order so i can ride the Tour next year.

  • jonny, the weather looks good, and i was tempted to join you, but the truth is i'm not sure i'm up to the distance. did 22 miles on sunday and my legs are still stiff.. will probably go for a training ride, try and loosen up again

  • what about that sound guru bloke?

    not sure who you mean - an old tutor of mine, alan fisher, lives there. he's an audio engineer, but that's about it. unless i'm forgetting someone

  • fair enough nimbhus. am hoping the weather is clement mainly cos might need to annotate the notes of the route. papyrus is a fucker in the wet. get a few more miles in dude and just be good for the fourteenth. that's the way to go.

  • little tip - just head up the high street in marlow, no need to veer off to the left down pound lane.

  • but i wanted to drop in on the pound shop. nah, cool, spotted that and my notes reflect that

  • but i wanted to drop in on the pound shop. nah, cool, spotted that and my notes reflect that

    The weather is fantastic. Have a great ride.

  • The weather is fantastic. Have a great ride.

    cheers dude, yeah looks like i won't be needing the plusfours after all

  • go on jonny my son, dream the shit out of those spires

  • How was the ride? Dreamy?

  • Yes let have a ride report please Johnny. Flat as a pancake and traffic free roads?

  • he's still out there.... halfway up a mountainous climb

  • was all good and a nice little route with a few highlights and the occassional need for getting out of the saddle. bit rushed at the mo but will put up details later and sort out the start time and all that.

    my face is sunburnt to fuck (as anyone at easties last night will testify)
