Ok quite a simple query i think, i have only really come into contact with 1 1/8 ahead fork and stem combos before my current and future builds so have little knowledge of threaded. basically i am wondering does the steerer tube length work in a similar way to threadless, how long roughly would i need in steerer tube for a 60cm frame with a fairly long headtube a la:
there are a few on ebay; one is 1 inch x 15.5cm, threaded section 3.8cm, and the other is 1 inch x 18cm, threaded section 4.1cm. they both are chrome and £20 starting bid, one eddy merckx and one gios, what do you reckon they are worth?
thankful for any help...
also anyone have a bb and headset suitable for this frame? french threaded, think it might be a bitch to find.
