I had a word with a girl on an old geared road bike friday night struggling down OKR with what looked like a rear wheel misaligned in the dropouts constantly pushing her towards the curb. Else her frame was ultra bent. She didn't tell me to fuck off so hopefully good deed done.
I always chicken out of telling peeps whose saddle is too high their arse is rocking like a seesaw.
You see some mechanical horrors out of the roads, stuff that is pretty dangerous and that you could fix in 20 seconds.
I do point stuff out to people and it is generally taken the right way, I sold 'Roadie' (who posts here on ldnfgss) a bike computer a few weeks back and out of habit began checking his bike for mechanical oversights !!! :)
He got his hedseat tuned and tightened before escaping, which was lucky for him as I had my eye on his front hub for a strip down.
