you've lost me there Fred! I had a gator skin that was not going on, in the end, sold it to a mate and bought a specialized pro that went on normally!
It's the only wire bead tyre I have bought in the last 10 years, and probably the last, life is too shirt to vent all this anger on a tyre, take it back and buy something that fits!
