I had the same experience with Gatorskin X Campy Delta X a few beers.
Tried metal levers and scratched the hell out of one rim.
Got there in the end with plastics plus brute force standing over the wheel like a madman with both feet and both hands pinning the fucker down......ping......done.
I'd give metal levers a miss in future.
