before the hordes descend and cry out for the burnin…
Dan, you need to be loads more specific about budget etc. your request is a bit like going into a clothes shop and shouting I want a shirt :^]
To be honest there's very few pop up on the actual forum so you may be better off looking for an off the peg bike [search 'OTP' for a list of available bikes, their cost and what people think of them]
If you go down the ebay route then you'll get plenty advice

Someting like this could be pretty cool...http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=330240204682&ssPageName=STRK:MESE:IT&ih=014 it is a single speed but could be converted to a fixed wheel with a new back wheel???
-

thanks for the warm welcome. The reason I haven't gone into too much detail is because I am open to suggestions. In terms of budget £500 down. Oh and I also need a shirt so if anyone has one they want to sell?

single speed with front brake only ... seems like an oversight.

are you guys not trying to promote fixed / single riding instead of shooting a newbie down in flames??
-
• #12
it's alright - it's just a forum joke - stay with it for a bit and someone might offer you a bike. you didn't say hello or nuffink.
-
• #13
The latter is much more entertaining!
-
• #14
shooting newbies down in flames is the sole purpose of internet forums.
isn't it?

Hazing is all part of the initiation round here . . . especially as you used the words cool, retro and commuter in your first post . . . welcome to the madhouse.

Actually . . that Gazelle is fucking nice . . . i would advise searching around the forums, as this is probably the greatest fixed/ss database on the net, get a feel for what you like . . your original criteria is far to vague.
-
• #21
buy the bike, or instead go and get a charge plug and rue the day you let a perfect gazelle slip through your greasy little fingers.
