to be honest, £50 is just a small price to pay to get a bicycle back, I mean, how often it is to have your bike actually got recovered?... so yeah, I agree, I wouldn't even give them £50 but if you look at it the other way, it's still a small price to pay.
It's a small price to pay, but its selfish and encourages crime. Almost the same as buying a stolen bike that isn't yours.
