Reading on the Brooks website I shouldn't be getting the saddle wet and should ensure its underside is well covered in Proofide. How practical is this and does it stop the saddle from being ruined? I currently ride in all weathers and the undersides of my saddles are usually covered in crap, not a problem as they're carbon/plastic.
